This 12 Day luxury Adventure and wildlife safari in Uganda offers a comprehensive
exploration of Uganda's wildlife and natural beauty. The itinerary will typically
take you through almost all the fantastic national parks of Uganda, combining
gorilla trekking experience with other activities like Birding, chimpanzee tracking,
game drives, boat cruises, beginning with the unforgettable experience of White-
water rafting in Jinja.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet the company representative and
safari guide, greet and transfer to your hotel on the shores of Lake Victoria. Settle
in, freshen up, and enjoy a relaxed evening, or you can opt for an Entebbe city tour
in case time allows.

Day 2: Mabamba Swamp Shoebill Tour and Transfer to Jinja
Early morning breakfast, head to Mabamba wetland for a canoe excursion
through the papyrus channels of Mabamba Swamp in search of hidden shoebill
stork, alongside kingfishers, jacanas, and other wetland birds. Afternoon, transfer
east to Jinja, the Adventure capital of East Africa at the source of the Nile.

Day 3: White water rafting and Quad Biking- Jinja
A full day at leisure to explore Jinja. Have breakfast in the morning, head to the official
Source of the Nile, proceed to white water rafting, the most exciting Adventure
activity on the river; as you navigate the Nile, you will experience a thrilling mix of
calm stretches and powerful rapids. Admire the lush riverbanks, watch birds
soaring overhead, and sometimes spot wildlife such as monitor lizards and hippos
from a safe distance. Afternoon, proceed for quad biking or a sunset cruise. A
perfect blend of adventure and relaxation before heading deeper into the wild.

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Begin a scenic drive of 7 to 8 hours north to Murchison Falls National Park,
Uganda's largest protected area, where the Nile forces itself. Have a stopover at
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking; this is the only place in Uganda where
Rhinos are found; have en route lunch, then proceed to visit the Top of the Falls. Standing
here allows visitors to witness the incredible power of the Victoria Nile as it
squeezes through a narrow gorge of 7 meters, with time to relax at your lodge
overlooking the river.

Day 5: Murchison Falls: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise
Your adventure begins early morning with a game drive across the northern
savannah. Early hours provide the best chance to spot wildlife while temperatures
are still cool and animals are actively feeding. As you explore the park, you may
encounter elephants, Rothschild's giraffes, African buffaloes, Uganda Kobs,
warthogs, Jackson's hartebeests, oribis, waterbucks, and bushbucks. Predators
such as lions are often seen resting after a night's hunt, while leopards may
occasionally be spotted in the trees or hidden among the vegetation.
In the afternoon, take a boat cruise; you will enjoy spectacular views of the riverbanks
teeming with wildlife, large schools of hippos fill the water, massive crocodiles, herds
of elephants, and buffaloes frequently visit the river to drink. This offers excellent
photography opportunities and birdwatching.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast, you depart Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale
National Park renowned as the primate capital of East Africa, home to over 13
primate species, including the famous chimpanzees. Visitors can also enjoy
birdwatching and nature walks in nearby attractions such as the Bigodi Wetland
sanctuary. As you continue southwest, the scenery gradually changes from open
savannah to the green highlands of western Uganda. The cooler climate becomes
noticeable as you approach Fort Portal, a charming tourism town surrounded by
tea plantations and the spectacular Rwenzori Mountains, often called the
"Mountains of the Moon" on clear days.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
After morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters; professional rangers will
guide you before entering the lush rainforests for chimpanzee trekking after
briefing. Proceed into the forest; listening to chimpanzees’ voices in the forest is
something magical. Once you find them, spend one magical hour observing them
playing, feeding, communicating, and cheering in trees. You may also have
sightings of red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, butterflies, and
birds calling from the canopies. In the afternoon, proceed to Bigodi Swamp for
nature walk; you will spot different kinds of birds, butterflies, and Primates in
the park.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kazinga Channel Boat
Cruise
As you leave the tropical rainforest of Kibale, the landscape gradually changes into
open grasslands and acacia-dotted savannahs. Along the way, travelers pass
through vibrant local communities, savannah grasslands where elephants and
Uganda Kobs begin to appear, and roadside markets display fresh tropical fruits
providing an adventure into everyday life in western Uganda.
Afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa's greatest
concentrations of hippo and buffalo, African elephants plus prolific birdlife.

Day 9: Morning game drive (Ishasha sector) Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable
National Park
Morning game drive through Ishasha sector searching for famous tree-climbing
lions. Elephants, buffalo, giraffes and Uganda Kobs will also appear during the
drive. Proceed through the terraced hills of Kigezi, "the Switzerland of Africa," to
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to
roughly half the world's remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Batwa experience.
The highlight of the safari: Have early morning breakfast, head to park
headquarters; park rangers will guide you on how to trek gorillas through Bwindi's
ancient rainforest. Later, proceed once you find them and spend one precious hour with
a habituated mountain gorilla family. Watching them play, feeding, grooming,
communicating and caring for their babies leaves an unforgettable memory in
visitors' lifetime
Afternoon, head to the community of Bwindi to learn the Batwa lifestyle of living,
their hunting skills, music and dances. Enjoy the evening; later return to the lodge
for relaxation and dinner.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Travel to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda's smallest savannah park and the only
one where you can walk or cycle among zebra, eland, and impala. Afternoon game
drive or boat cruise on Lake Mburo itself, with sightings of hippo, crocodile, and
abundant birdlife.

Day 12 — Lake Mburo to Entebbe Airport: Departure
After an early morning optional activity (nature walk or horseback safari), transfer
back to Entebbe, with a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photography and en
