Uganda is a country of wonders; it is among the best East African countries to visit. The country welcomes all types of visitors whether single. Couple, honey mooners. family or group tours. Types of cars which can fit group/family car rentals trips.
Van Rentals
Van rentals come in two models; the ordinary safari vans in old models and Hiace drones (newer versions). Vans are popular rental car options in Uganda especially in groups of more than 5 as they have a carrying capacity of 9 seater and the drones come with fridges. They come in diesel and petrol engines and can be of automatic or manual transmission. Safari vans have pop up roofs and others can fit luggage’s up the roof in case they cannot fit in the boot.
4×4 Toyota land cruiser GX,
This car is big inside, it has the behind seats and they can be used in case of family or group travels. It has a capacity of 5 people and the small seats behind. It is manual transmission and takes Diesel. This is a reliable car and very comfortable inside and are good for rooftop camping of single or double tents. The landcruiser GX is a bit more powerful variant of the Landcruiser V8 and VX that are common options for car rentals in Uganda.
Toyota coaster bus.
These are for very large groups i.e of 10+ passengers that cannot fit in the common safari vans. Coasters can take up to 30 passengers. This can fit for group tours visiting places around the city, it can work in city yours, conferences, meetings, as well as safaris. They are manual transmission with diesel engines and are only available with a driver.
Safari Land cruisers
These are custom African made vehicles for groups of 5 and 7 passengers. The ordinary safari land cruiser carries 5 passengers each with a window seat while the stretch or extended carries 7 passengers. However, it is in the luxury class as they are more expensive as compared to other options above. They are not available on self drive.
As with other car rentals, vehicles best for families also come with comprehensive insurance, Ac, unlimited mileage, spare trye, jack and wheel spanner to change the tyre in case it gets a problem, tyre covers, among others.
Important notice about family or group rental trips.
Visitors on family rental trips can decide to do self-drive or hire with a driver or drivers for the trip. It is advisable to get a driver from a car rental agency as you are assured of experience and general knowledge about roads and what to do in a right timing.
Visitors on family trips can either decide to sleep in accommodation facilities in different destinations or decide to sleep in tents or to do camping safari. We hire ground tents and rooftop tents which can fit family or group rentals.

Cross border family rentals are possible. Visitors can decide to visit more than one country. With long rentals, visitors can travel to Uganda, cross border to Rwanda, Kenya and other neighboring countries.
Kids are also catered for in family car rentals, visitors are free to come with their kids car seats or the company can provide for the comfort-ability and safety of the children.
