Day 1: Explore Kampala City

You will be picked up by the guide from your hotel for an early drive around Kampala, Uganda’s capital city and busiest center built across seven popular hills. You will visit various cultural and religious centers to get a glimpse of history and traditions in Uganda. Places to visit include the Royal palace, Kasubi tombs, namirembe cathedral, Bahai temple, Namugongo martyrs shrine, National museum among others. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Kampala
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park
Enjoy an early breakfast and proceed to Lake Mburo passing via Masaka where you will make a stop over at the equator for break and photographs. Proceed to the park reaching in the afternoon, have lunch and rest then embark on a guided game drive in the savannah plains. Animals you may spot include large herds of Zebra, Impalas, waterbucks, Buffalo, warthogs, Elephants, Elands and a variety of beautiful birds. Dinner and overnight Mantana Tented camp/ Rwonyo rest Camp/ Mihingo Lodge
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, depart the park driving to Kabale aka Switzerland of Uganda passing via Mbarara town for a lunch break. Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi which translates as Lake of Birds, Uganda’s deepest lake is popular for its numerous islands and breathtaking views. Hop on a dugout canoe and explore the lake , enjoy the stunning scenery and watch various birds swirling around in the air. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort/ Arcadia cottages

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After breakfast proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest, home to over half the population world’s surviving mountain gorillas. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma Homestead/ Nkuringo camp/ Lake Kitandara tented Camp

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking begins

Enjoy an early breakfast before transfer to the park headquarters for briefing by UWA guides. Carry you packed lunch , a rain jacket and plenty of water for the adventure ahead. Gorilla tracking can last between 3- 4 hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas at a particular time. You will be given an hour in the midst of these gentle giant apes, take non-flash photographs and observe them swing, play and feed. Return to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 6: transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth park passing via Ishasha sector , a popular spot for tree climbing lions. Reach the park in time for lunch and after your done , go for guided game drive around the crater region of the park. You may spot animals like Elephants, Buffalo, Antelopes, hogs and a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana Lodge/ Mweya Hostel

Day 7: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Launch cruise

Embark on early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queen’s mile trails , two of the most popular tracks in the park where you can spot variety of big game including cape buffalos, Elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, hyenas, Topi,Hartebeests, leopards and plenty of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and little nap before being transferred to the the launch cruise for a 2hour ride along the Kazinga channel; a small water channel connect Lakes Edward and George. The launch cruise offers a nice open platform for for photography offering chance to see lots of hippos and giant crocodiles plus other animals on resting on the banks and lots of birds like Kingfisher and the African fish eagle. Dinner an overnight at lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Kibale Forest

Depart Queen Elizabeth park passing via Fort Portal heading to Kibale forest, home of chimpanzees and a wide range of other interesting primate species, birds and plant life. Enjoy your lunch before transfer to park headquarters where you will begin your forest walk , chimpanzee tracking can last up to 3 hours so its advisable to carry packed lunch and plenty of water. Other animals you may spot include vervet monkeys, L’hooest monkeys, Black & White colobus monkeys, baboons to mention but a few . Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest Lodge / Chimp Guest House/ Ndali / Primates Lodge

Day 9 : Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Have an early breakfast and begin your journey to Murchison falls stopping over at Masindi for lunch. On arrival, proceed directly to the top of the falls, spend some time marveling at the power and beauty of Murchison falls. Take photos and relax by the rocks before driving to your lodge . Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa safari lodge / Red Chilli camp/ Nile camp/ Sambiya River Lodge

 

Day 10: Game Drive & Launch Cruise

After an early breakfast, head to the Victoria nile in time for the ferry to cross the Victoria nile to the northern bank where a great number of animals can be found. Animals you may spot during the game drive include warthogs, kobs, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, dik dik, bushbucks among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments before being transferred to the nile again for an amazing 3 hour launch trip where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes resting on the banks plus birds like the fish eagle, malachite kingfisher, commorant, yellow billed stork and if lucky the elusive shoebill. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11- Drive back to Kampala

Check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala stopping over at Masindi town for lunch. Dinner and overnight at hotel or depature
