A mall is usually defined as a large building with many different stores all in the same or adjacent building. A mall may be containing a variety of stores such as groceries and often restaurants, apartments, shops and other business establishments. Here are top malls in Kampala worthy a visit.
Acacia mall
Is a five star luxurious shopping mall located along kamwokya- kololo route. One of the busiest malls in Kampala. While here, you’ll experience a diversity of options as you access financial services from the several bank branches here. The place has ample parking at an affordable fee.
The mall has a good selection of shops that are well stocked, high class restaurants that include,KFC, Cafes Serie and so much more, telecom service centers of Airtel and MTN, Caramel Loungue, Mister price, Aristoc book shop, a large Carrefour Supermarket is now here too. The ambiance at the area is like no other as there are lots of things to do my favorite being the movie in the cinema hall and make-up. It’s fun for the kids too, as there’s a kids amusement park. Movement from one floor to another is very easy due to the presence of well installed elevators and escalators with also fixed staircase and ramps to roll on the trolly. ( Wheel chair pathway.) So in general, if you are in Uganda, visit the Acacia mall, you won’t regret!
Victoria mall
Along Kampala-Entebbe-Express way which makes it easily accessible to and from the airport. This is a big mall with a lot of amenities in it, Banks, Cafe’s, Supermarkets, boutiques etc. Everything you would look for with high class can be found here and it’s very accessible favourable. Has Cafe Java’s, a Bata Shoes outlet, KFC, and Nakumati Supermarket. Has a hotel, public toilets, a Carrefour supermarket, currency exchange,a Pay Way machine, a pharmacy, Cafes Serie ( eating and dating place) and a wide but handicap friendly parking which is not crowded. So in general, it’s a place I’d recommend everyone to visit.
Garden City Mall
This is a contemporarily well designed shopping center located on Yusuf Lule Road in Kampala. This shopping complex houses a variety of quality Gift shops, restaurants, bookstores, Banks, clothe shops, and expanded food court and a photo studio. It also has health clubs, salons, hotels, and Casino’s. You can not resist falling in love with Garden City Mall as it also has a beautiful pond which has goldfish in it and eye catching water fountains.
Forest Mall Lugogo
The mall is found on Lugogo By-pass. Offers items of the latest trend and of great value. Forest mall has a variety of shops including, Pharmacies, Beauty and health parlours, sports good stores, electronic shops, fashion boutiques, coffee shops and so much more. The mall also has some fine restaurants serving a variety of delicious foods( tastes). It’s one of city’s biggest shopping destinations. Also has good banking services, salons, bars, medical stores and a wide parking space.
Arena mall
Located on Nsambya and Kibuli road junction. It’s a world- class luxury shopping mall that offers class and convenience to it’s shoppers mainly of the surrounding areas of Muyenga, Buziga, Munyonyo, Bunga and beyond. The mall has modern indoor features that provide a comfortable experience away from home.
Inside Arenal Mall, Nsambya
It has reliable security with secure boundary walls, a well monitored CCTV cameras, fire detection machines and automatic extinguishers. There are restaurants, retail space, food court terrace and modern rooftop cinema with an Ariel view of the City. Cafes Series, Aristoc book shop, Timberland, etc, are well anchored to the mall. There are motor dealers and an entertainment block with arcades and a supervised play area. The parking space is ample for everyone, come experience uniqueness all- around.
Freedom city Mall
One of the top-rated shopping centers in town. A one- stop shopping center for all your services. Here, there’s something for everyone as there’s a blend of business (Banks like Centenary and Stanbic to shops such clothe shops, an outlet supermarket and cafe etc) with Leisure ( A kids amusement park, football pitch, show ground and more) in a comfortable atmosphere.
Inside Freedom city Mall is a Kid’s play ground and always busy during weekends.

The mall is easily accessible for those in Mutungo, Luzira , Bugolobi and those working around the industrial area.
