Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park.
Our driver guide will meet you at your hotel early morning and drive you to Murchison falls park stopping at Masindi town for lunch. Proceed to the park and drive to the top of the falls, witness how the thundering river nile squeezes forces its way through a 7 meter gorge of rocks. Spend sometime taking pictures and enjoying the scenery. Drive to your lodge for diner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Wildlife Game Drive & Launch Cruise
Start the day with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile River where a biggest concentration of wildlife can be found. Animals you are most likely to spot include Jackson hartebeests, Uganda kobs, giraffes, warthogs, dik dik, herds of African elephants and cape buffaloes and if lucky you may spot a lion or leopard. After lunch at the lodge, take a launch cruise upstream to the bottom of Murchison falls , along the way you may spot hippos, nile crocodiles, buffaloes and elephants and birds like Pied kingfisher, yellow bill stork, Egyptian goose , Crested cranes, African fish Eagle and if lucky the elusive shoebill stork. Diner and overnight at the lodge
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Drive to Fort Portal with picnic lunch en route stop over to see the tea plantations, arriving in the evening. Proceed to Kibale Park. Check in at Ndali lodge /Fort Motel /Rwenzori View /Chimp guest house for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi swamp
After an early breakfast, meet with local guides and embark on chimpanzee tracking expedition in the in Kibale forest nestled in the shadows of the Rwenzori. The park is rich in animal life boasting an incredible record of 12 species of primates including chimpanzees the very localized red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Tracking the chimpanzee is a very interesting experience. The way they feed, climb trees, respond to humans, caring for their young ones leaves an imaginative dream to tell. In the afternoon visit the surrounding- Bigodi swamp and do enjoy some bird watching Go back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Semuliki then to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Semuliki national park in the northern end of the Rwenzori mountains. The drive is short one through the steep slopes of Budibugyo district. Enroute visit to the pygmy community and a sight seeing tour to Sempaya hot springs. Enjoy spectacular views of the legendary Rwenzori mountains. On clear day you can view Ice caps on the peaks of Stanley and Magherita, and their incomparable, beautiful, mist- peaks provide a unique backdrop Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda’s second largest park among the best spot for a wildlife safari in East Africa. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth park in the evening , dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /Jacana/samba/hippo hill/Institute of Ecology Hostel
Day 7: Game drive & Kazinga channel launch cruise
After an early breakfast, embark on a guided wildlife game drive through the northern crater area where you may spot large herds of Elephants, hyenas, Uganda kobs, Cape buffaloes, impalas, baboons, tree climbing lions at the ishasha sector , black & white colobus monkeys, red tailed and blue monkeys plus a variety of birds including 11 different species of Kingfisher, falcon, eagles, bee eaters, hornbills to mention but a few. IN the afternoon take a 2hour launch cruise on Kazinga channel , small water channel joining Lakes Edward and George blessed with a diversity of animals resting on the banks like hippos, buffaloes, elephants plus a wide variety of water birds. Retire to the lodge for dinner and over night
Day 8: Game drive & Travel back to Kampala
After breakfast go for another early morning game drive that may yield chances to catch up with early riser predators like lions, leopards, hyenas etc. Return to the lodge for lunch and proceed to Kampala. Stop over at Equator; view the long horned Ankole cattle in the open savannah grassland. Dinner and overnight stay at your Hotel in Kampala.
