Day 1, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, boat trip
Early in the morning after breakfast at the hotel, set off for Lake Mburo National Park. Enroute make a stopover at the Equator at Kayabwe in Mpigi District. Proceed to Lake Mburo national park via Masaka-Lyantonde and to the park headquarters at Rwonyo via the Nshara gate. Have lunch at Mantana tented campsite.
After lunch go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo and get a chance to see the Crocodiles, and birds like the Pelicans, Black Crake, Heron, Cormorant, Fish Eagle but you may also see the rare shoebill stork. Return for dinner and over night stay at Mantana tented camp/Rwonyo camp site.
Day 2, game drive and transfer to QENP, launch cruise
Early in the morning, go for game drive in the park. During the game drive you have very many chances of seeing the impalas, Zebras, bushbucks and bush duikers, waterbucks, warthogs, and the topis. Come back for breakfast at the camp and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park. The journey will offer you with an interesting game drive enroute; keep an eye out for game animals such as leopard, hyena, elephant, buffalo, and the Lion. Reaching the park by afternoon, have lunch and then go for a launch trip on the Kazinga channel characterized by a high population of Hippos, buffaloes and water birds that frequent the lake shores. Have dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana safari lodge/Simba safari lodge.
Day 3, Game drives
Early in the morning set off for the morning game drive in the Northern crater area. Expect to see a lot of animal species such as the Elephants, lions, buffaloes, Leopards, monkeys such as the black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys.
Return for lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon go for evening game drive in the Kasenyi area which is well known as the Kob mating grounds and there fore in this place one is able to see a lot of kobs and other antelopes like the situnga, and the hyenas. Other animals can also be spotted such as the Elephants, lions, and many more. This takes 2-3 hour. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge
Day 4, Chimp tracking, game drive
Early in the morning go for Chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura gorge. Guided walks to search for the chimpanzees start at the Kyambura’s fig tree Camp. You may also be able to see clearly the gorge especially from the Mweya peninsular viewpoint and the whole of the rift valley area.
Proceed to the southern part of the park and that is the Ishasha sector for an evening game viewing. The ishasha sector is well known for the tree climbing lions which can be spotted from the far in the fig trees. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5, Forest walk, return to Kampala
In the morning go for a forest walk in the Maramagambo Forest and view different tree and bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon transfer back to Kampala. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge
