Uganda tourism earnings hike

November 08, 2010 By: admin Category: Tourism Events

The Uganda tourism industry is really growing at stable pace given the fact that the tourism earnings have risen from $100m to $400m over the past five ye. The Uganda tourism guide has come up to be a strong source of foreign exchange due the increased yearly revenue earnings got from tourism and this has greatly been an effort of the increasing number of tourists in Uganda which hosts millions of tourists yearly as quted by the Uganda tourism board executive director,Cuthbert B

The majority of the tourists come  from United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany among other countries with different interest in terms of tourism attractions for exmaple most tourist love tracking the endangered mountain gorillas, View lake, rivers and falls, tour the national parks, visit cultural centers in Uganda, Launch cruise or just enjoy longer stay in Uganda by booking safari lodges which are located in Uganda national parks.

The major setback however is the fact that most nationals or Ugandans have failed to appreciate and explore their very own tourism potentials leaving e industry to be dominated by the international tourists .

Some of the major factors that have ;led to a stable development in the tourism industry in Uganda due to factors like relative peace and security and the increased marketing and advertising of Uganda tourism potentials through promotions and trade between Uganda and other countries.

All in all the tourism sector in Uganda has really got the attention and support over the past five years and the way things a re going shows the economic and political stability of Uganda today.
